REDAS-RICS Smart Buildings Conference 2020
Looking ahead to 2030, building functions should aim to become completely autonomous and self-learning – “smarter” buildings. This starts from the basic design and conceptualization stage, through to construction, energy, life-cycle, and people-flow stages.
While new buildings can be designed and constructed to implement smart technologies from the ground up, existing buildings can also be transformed or converted to incorporate smart technologies.
As Singapore continues along its smart-nation journey, the 3rd REDAS-RICS Smart Buildings Conference on 3 November 2020 deep-dive into the bigger, brighter, and smarter built environment that is continually evolving around us.
By 2021, The International Data Corporation (IDC) estimated that US$43.5 billion will be invested in smart cities development and smart city technologies in Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan). With growing investment and focus on smart cities solution, the conference will feature 4 pillars that ‘Smart Buildings’ could enable:
This year’s conference will feature prominent speakers from the entire build and real estate value chain with the opening keynote sharing how 5G will change things and the opportunities ahead for smart cities of the future.
Themed “Advancing into the Future: Innovate, Improve, Integrate”, the conference aims to realign and reinforce the vision to push boundaries, relearn continuously, and synergize new opportunities and insights – to transform and strengthen the future of the build environment.
